We’re always looking for new ways to thank our Community Contributors for the amazing BuzzFeed quizzes and posts they create every day. That’s why we’re launching the BuzzFeed Community Creator Program — a new initiative that’s designed to financially compensate top Community Contributors for their content. That’s right! Through this new program, Community Creators will earn real money for writing BuzzFeed posts. Plus, we’ll provide our Creators with additional resources, tools, and opportunities to help them hone their skills and ensure even more readers are finding and enjoying their work.

Meet Our First Community Creators

To kick off this new program, we asked nine highly creative Community Contributors who continuously publish great content to join as our very first Community Creators! You may recognize many of their usernames, but you probably don’t know much about them beyond their posts. To help you get to know them better, we asked each Community Creator a few questions about their writing style and interests. Keep reading to learn what makes each Community Creator unique! What topics do you like to write about?«I am very much into celebrity gossip and blind items! I also write Wattpad fan fictions for fandoms like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, etc!»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve written?“My favorite quizzes to create are the fall/autumn themed quizzes or the movie/TV show ones like Your Candy Preferences Will Reveal Your Perfect Halloween Costume.”

Do you belong to any fandoms? If so, which ones?«Harry Potter, Twilight, Hunger Games, Percy Jackson (the original movies), Jackass, Halloweentown, Love Island, Survivor, Naked & Afraid, etc. I’m sure there are many more, especially for Netflix shows!»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«Writing stories, reading books, listening to music, scrolling and making videos on TikTok, cooking & baking, watching movies and TV shows!»

Do you have a fun fact you want to share?«I write fan fiction and romance novels (not just for Wattpad).»

What topics do you like to write about?«I love to write about anything in pop culture, especially meme culture. I am a huge foodie so anything about food as well. I am studying psychology and environmental sustainability studies, and I love writing to connect with other people and spread awareness for important issues.»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve written?«One of my favorite posts on BuzzFeed is my quiz Live A Day As A Cat And I’ll Tell You What Cat Breed You Are. I have two cats and it was so fun to try and imagine what goes on in their little heads and how I could incorporate that into personality types associated with different cat breeds.»

Do you belong to any fandoms? If so, which ones?«Yes! I am in SO many fandoms it would be impossible to write them all down. I love anything with superheroes (MCU, DCU, etc.), video games (especially indie games like Stardew Valley), and anything to do with reading (romance is my favorite genre). I’m an indie pop and rock music lover, and a huge musical theater nerd. My favorite TV genre is comedy, and so many sitcoms have become my primary source of comfort (Community, Parks and Recreation, and The Good Place are some of my favorites).»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«I am a singer/songwriter. I play a variety of instruments, and I love writing poetry. I am also a nature photographer and I have an online gallery with all of my photos. I love anything artsy, including drawing, painting, and graphic design. Obviously, I also love posting on BuzzFeed and I have been making and taking personality quizzes on BuzzFeed for years now.»

Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?«I am an American married to an Irishman! We went to visit my husband’s homeland earlier this year and it was such a magical experience. Over there they eat french fries (chips) with everything, including their Chinese takeout.»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve ever written?«My favorite BuzzFeed post that i’ve written is probably Everyone Has A Bath & Body Works Scent That Perfectly Matches Their Personality — Eat Some Mall Food To Reveal Yours because it was such a fun and nostalgic post to make.»

What topics do you like to write about?«I like to write about a variety of topics. Some of my favorites are home design, color theory, fantasy novels, rom-com movies, and pop culture.»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve written?«My favorite BuzzFeed post I’ve ever written is the quiz Choose Some Beautiful Homes And We’ll Tell You What Cake Matches Your Personality because it combines two of my favorite topics which made it so fun to create.»

Do you belong to any fandoms? If so, which ones?«I belong to quite a few fandoms, I’m a huge Swiftie, I’m obsessed with the Harry Potter series, and I have a secret love for Disney/Pixar movies.»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«Some hobbies/activities that bring me joy include taking walks around the city and discovering local cafés and shops. I also enjoy reading books, preferably on the beach. Oh, and I’ve always been known for my love of baking.»

Do you have a fun fact you’d like to share?«My first ever job was scooping ice cream at a boardwalk-shop at the Jersey Shore, and it was my absolute favorite job I’ve had so far!»

What topics do you like to write about?«Most of my quizzes involve travel and food. Some movies and music too, but I tend to not have a lot of current pop music in my quizzes.»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve written?«Scrolling through, I forgot about many of them. It was fun to take them again. Traveling To These Overlooked Cities Will Unlock Your New Favorite Underrated TV Show is one of my favorites.»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«What brings me the most joy is travel, but unfortunately it’s too expensive, so I hardly ever get to do that. Most of my free time is spent going to local concerts and theater. I also like to stay home hanging out with my cats and binging TV shows. The rest of my spare time I do a lot of volunteering. I want to say I like hiking, but I really don’t and kinda feel bad about that.»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«I enjoy reading, watching TV, scrapbooking, writing, or anything really to keep me busy!»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«Reading, trying new recipes, writing creatively, and spending time with friends and family.»

Do you have a fun fact you want to share?«I wanted to grow up to be a mermaid when I was little. I was very serious about this goal!»

What topics do you like to write about? «I love to write about things I’m passionate about, as well as what is popular at a given time. If I can combine the two, that’s even better! For example, I love Disney, and the final season of Squid Game just came out, so doing a quiz where you pick Disney movies to reveal what Squid Game character you’re most like would be something right up my alley! I also like to write lists about things I love, especially it if explains what I’m excited about in simple terms so that maybe someone new can discover one of my passions and become a fan too.»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve ever written?«I would say I have to be sentimental and pick the first post I ever had promoted: Pick Eight MCU Movies And We’ll Tell You Which Marvel Character You’re Most Like. I was so excited when it got promoted. A close second would be the second one I had promoted: Eat At Buc-ee’s For The Day To Find Out Which Animal You Channel Most. I loved reading through the comments on that one. I have my own personal results from the first three of my quizzes to be promoted pinned on my profile. This is a fun little reminder of the first few quizzes and a start of something fun and rewarding.»

Do you belong to any fandoms? If so, which ones?«I belong to quite a few fandoms! I love Disney (and Marvel/Star Wars too) as well as Harry Potter. I also don’t know if it would count as a fandom, but I am a huge sports fan! My favorite sport is hockey, but I’ll watch pretty much anything they broadcast on ESPN, and bonus points if I can catch an event live. My favorite teams are the New York Rangers, New York Knicks, New York Jets, and New York Mets!»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«My hobbies include cooking, scuba diving, watching sports, running, watching movies, going out with friends and family, and being with/learning about animals (my favorites animals are sharks, dogs, okapis and tapirs). I also love to travel but the cycle is to save money, travel repeat. Right now, I am eyeing Australia, Tokyo, and Iceland.»

Do you have a fun fact you want to share?«I have loved animals my entire life and have been working with/around animals for about ten years. I’ve gotten the chance to work with some amazing animals including cheetahs, black bears, rhinos, giraffes, zebus, and leopards.»

What topics do you like to write about?«For many years, I have loved experimenting with short form fiction and fantasy. I find that the best way to avoid writer’s block is to allot time for the unedited and mistake-ridden flow of words. I also enjoy spreading knowledge and information to others that is impactful and poignant in our world today — I have written many essays on the subjects of environmental philosophy, climate change mitigation, and urban sustainability. Most enjoyable is when I have attempted to blend these writing styles and topics, making important subjects more accessible and fun to read.»

What’s your favorite BuzzFeed post you’ve ever written?«My favorite BuzzFeed post I’ve written so far is Only The Smartest Of The Smart Can Get At Least 8/10 On This Tough General Knowledge Quiz. I love general knowledge and geography trivia, so it was fun to be on the creative end!»

Do you belong to any fandoms? If so, which ones?«I am a huge music fan. I am mostly drawn to indie and classic rock, though my appreciation for musical artistry extends across genres. Some of my favorite artists include Beach House, The Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, The Strokes, Santigold, and Lorde. I’ve seen Lorde twice in concert, and am hoping to catch another show on her upcoming tour!

I have also always loved Percy Jackson — those books certainly made me a life-long Greek mythology enthusiast. I remember waiting for the release of the Heroes of Olympus series and reading them as fast as I could.»

What hobbies or activities bring you joy?«Drawing and watercolor painting are probably my most relaxing and rewarding pastimes. I frequently photograph interesting buildings and landscapes, and I like to recreate them in my own style by playing with color theory and perspective. I often attend figure drawing classes to practice working with different mediums like charcoal and gouache. I always try to gift handmade items to friends and family, whether personalized watercolor cards or crocheted tote bags. Also, I am always down to create a hyper-specific playlist for any mood, weather pattern, place, or activity.»

Do you have a fun fact you want to share?«I lived and studied in Australia in 2023. Brisbane is an awesome city, and underrated internationally in my opinion. I hope to make it back there for the 2032 Summer Olympics — and maybe a couple times before then too!»
